ArticleThe Center of Myanmar Culture
In the heart of Myanmar, on the bank in the Ayeyarwaddy River and
located within the space of just a few mines, cluster the ancient
royal cities of Sagaing, Ava (Innwa) Amarapura and Mandalay. This
region, with its fertile rice, paddies and in numerable pagodas,
became actually centers of the country after the fall of Bagan; in
additional to housing the royal house and court of Myanmar. It
became a center for the best craftsmen, most skilled artisan workers
and the most learned monks. Even today, the last royal city of
Mandalay is still the consider the real center of Myanmar cultural,
and the studied elegance of the local language and manners lift its
some what apart from others cities in the country. Mandalay is a
majestic and magnificent town, both of being a former Royal city.
The name Mandalay exudes a kind of special, exotic charm conjuring
up in the mind of many foreigners images of an Asian Royal city
imbued with mistery.
