Yangon
Airways was established in 1996, as a joint venture between
Myanma Airways and Krong-Sombat Company of Thailand. In 1997,
the MHE-Mayflower Company acquired the Krong-Sombat shares.
Yangon Airways has become a principal domestic airline in
Myanmar flying scheduled and charter flight services to 13 prime
commercial and tourist destinations in Myanmar.
The corporate policy of Yangon Airways is to take a progressive
approach to provide the finest service possible, and to maintain
our fleet to the highest standards of operational readiness,
safety, and reliability.
It believes that through better transportation, it contributes
to the development of the economic and social well-being of our
society.
Fleet
Yangon Airways operate new and reliable ATR-72 Turbo-Prop
aircraft fitted with state-of-the-art avionics systems.
The aircraft are maintained to the highest standards according
to JOINT AIR REGULATIONS, and are EUROPEAN LICENSE VALIDATED.
All aircraft are INSURED BY AIG in the UNITED STATES.
Air Mandalay Limited, the first regional joint venture
airline in Myanmar, was formed on October 6, 1994. The
shareholders are the national carrier Myanmar Airways, Air
Mandalay Holdings Pte Ltd of Singapore and Premier Airlines Pte
Ltd of Malaysia. We currently fly to all major destinations in
Myanmar and to Chiang Mai in Thailand.
Our Corporate ldentity
Air Mandalay's logo depicts the mythological Royal Hintha Bird
which symbolizes loyalty, respect for traditional values,
stability, good luck and prosperity.
The colour represents the numerous golden pagodas found
throughout Myanmar-The Golden Land. Burgundy signifies the
colour of the robes worn by Buddhist monks in Myanmar, thus
standing for religious values.
Fleet
Air Mandalay’s maintenance facility and maintenance
standards are European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145
approved. Air Mandalay is the only airline in Myanmar with this
approval.
Air Mandalay's modern fleet is currently comprised of two ATR
72-212s and one ATR 42-320, built by Aerospatiale of France and
Alenia of Italy and powered by Canadian built Pratt & Whitney
engines.

every flight we operate, as well as produce a fair return on

Corporate identity
Our logo, the LOTUS in Myanmar culture symbolizes purity, and
the promise of man to aim for the highest within himself. This
logo, which will be a focal point of our Corporate Identity,
communicates a synthesis of bold, modern entrepreneurial
principles, our aim to be the best combined with Myanmar
culture, which we believe will be a symbol of achievement for a
new era.
Aircraft fleet
Our current fleet consists of one Fokker 100 jet, ATR 72 and two
ATR 42-320 turbo-prop aircraft. By End of 2005, the fleet will
have grown to two F100 jets and two ATR 42-320 turbo-prop
aircraft.
Service
Air Bagan is intent on making both cabin and ground services,
customer oriented. It is our pledge to provide safe, affordable,
reliable, timely, courteous, and efficient air transportation
and baggage handling service on every flight we operate, We are

Cockpit crew
Air Bagan employs a mix of local and foreign pilots who have
accumulated thousands of flight hours flying all over Myanmar
and various parts of the world, adept and experienced with all
types of terrain and weather conditions.
